At UFC 206, former UFC and WEC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis came up short against Max Holloway in a bid to capture the UFC Interim Featherweight Title. However, after the fight, Pettis revealed that he broke his hand and it was revealedܫ afterwards that the fighter needed hand surgery.
That is no longer the case because it turns out that not only is Pett♎is’s hand not broken, but there will be no surgery needed on it in any way. Despite the good news about his hand, Pettis’s fight team, Roufus Sport, stated that the fighter will be taking time off to first heal from his fight with Holloway and then plan his next move inside the octagon.
Pettis also announced that he will be returning to the UFC Lightweight Division, his two fight run at featherweight saw him defeat Charles Oliveira and then suffer a defeat to the aforementioned Max Holloway. Pettis suffered a TKꦛO loss to Holloway at UFC 20 the first TKO loss (of only six overall losse🅰s) of his career.
Pettis ꧙defeated Ben Henderson to w💙in both the WEC Lightweight Title and the UFC Lightweight Titles separately.
