Mike Jackson and form𒐪er pro wrestler turned M💖MA fighter CM Punk are rumored to be clashing in a few months at UFC 225.
While Jackson undoubtedly wants the fight, a hiccup in the plans comes in the form✅ of Punk and his camp.
“No contract has been signed. I’m waiting to hear back from Phil and his camp,” Jackson said on the . “I’ve spoken to Mick Maynard, who is a close personal friend of mine as well as the UFC matchmaker, and he kind of doesn’t know what’s going on at this time with (CM) Punk.”
Jackson has already competed once in the UFC, losing to Mickey Gall via first round submission at UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson. Punk also suffered a defeat to Gall, with his coming by first round submission at UFC 203.
The one fight UFC vetﷺeran even claims that Punk doesn’t have the skills to beat him in the Octagon.
“[Brooks is] really getting a crash course, and I feel that, unless you’re some crazy prodigy, like a young B.J. Penn, the chances of you picking up different facets of the game to compete with someone — even on my level — it’s very slim,” Jackson said.
