Cortney Casey has been notified by the Texas Department Of Licensing (TDL) of a failed in-competition drug test for elevated levels of testosterone, the drug test took place during UFC 211 week.
It should be noted that elevated levels of testosterone doesn’t mean that Casey took any illegal substances, but more tests should prove if anything dubious wa൲s taken.
With the failed drug test, the women🐓’s strawweight competitors victory over Jessica Aguilar has been ruled a no contest. Casey had originally won the fight by unanimous decision prior to the fight being overturned f🤡or the failed drug test.
The fighter has been suspended f🌳or three months by the TDL an🧸d potentially fined $2,000, which is the standard suspension that the TDL issues in this situation.
Ca⛄sey has yet to comment on the matter, but UFC Vice President Of Health & Human Services in Jeff Novitzky has commented.
“We have not been informed by USADA of anything regarding a potential anti-doping policy violation for Cortney Casey,” Novitzky said to . “No positive tests, no suspicion of anything — now or in the past. USADA has not been in contact with us about anything at all related to that.”
If the three month s🅺uspension stands, the fightౠer is able to return to action on August 13 of this year.
