Rashad Evans and Tim Kennedy is off of UFC 206.
On Monday's episode of the middleweight Tim Kennedy announced that his UFC ♐206 bout with Rashad Evans had been pulled. The two were originally planned for UFC 205 in New York City, but it 𝓡was revealed that Evans was unable to get licensed leading into the fight. That proved to be the case again in Toronto.
Kennedy announced on the program that the UFC has offered him Kelvin Gastelum as a replacement. Kennedy accepted the bout, but Gastelum's manager Ali Abdelaziz later said no contract had been sent. Gastelum was also supposed to compete at UFC 📖205 against Donald Cerrone, but missed weight and was banned from the UFC Welterweight division.
The 205/206 fight was set to be Evans' middleweight debut, after competing at Light Heavyweight for most of his career. Kennedy is aꦑiming to fight for the first time since 2014.
