Another name has been confirmed for the Mae Youngౠ Classic.
WWE announced Evie, a wrestler from New Zealand who signed with the company late last year, as the latest confirm๊ed participant in its women's tournament. The company revealed the news, and Evie's new name under the WWE umbrella, from its WWE New Zealand Twitter account:
As Evie, she worked for U.S. independents such as SHIMMER and SHINE, and also has experience with the Japanese promotion Stardom, where several of the announced Mae Young participants have w♓orked in the past.
WWE now has announced 10 total competitors for the Mae Young Classic, not counting two others who won qualifying matches for the tournament at the latest round of NXT tapings. The Mae Young Classic will begin taping matches July 13-14 at Full Sail University. Jim Ross and Lita also have been announced a🧸s the commentary team for the tourney.
