Anybody that is hopinšg to see Will Ospreay in a WWE ring will have to wait a good while before that eš ver happens.
Ospreay revealed in an interview with that he still has a couple of years left on his current contract. Ospreay also said that even tš·hough he would lime to explore his options, he did not say he wanted to go to āWWE anytime soon.
āI am contracted," Ospreay said. "At the end of it, Iām with Ring of Honor, Iām with New Japan. Iāve got no choice. They say jump, I saw how high? Would I like to change? Absolutely, but I need to able to show them Iām worth something now, and this is how Iām gonna do it. Iām gonna spend two years with Ring of Honor under contract, and then Iām gonna say, āHey, Iām gonna do what I want to do.ā I want to be able to offer them something by going around and performing, not just at Ring of Honor, not just at New Japan, but the world. Does that mean I want to go to WWE? Not right now, no, ācause itās not what I want. I just want to be me and I want to be happy. My happiness comes way before priorities.ā
Ospreay is a mainstay in New Japan Pro Wrestling's junior heavyweight division where he is once again currently competing in the promotion's Best of the Super Juniors tournament, which he won last year. Ospreay is also competing in Ring of Honor, where he is a former ROH World Television Champion.
