Tony Khan issues another no co𒊎mment on CM Punk's current status in All Elite Wrestling.
Since he was reportedly involved in a fight backstage with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) at All Out in September, CM Punk has not been seen or mentioned on AEW programming. Although Punk was reportedly collectively voted out of AEW, has reported in recent weeks that the𒁏 former AEW World Champi🅘on might still have the 'wrestling bug'.
On the ไrecent Full Gear media c♉all, Tony Khan noted that he had nothing bad to say about CM Punk's on-screen contributions in AEW, but yet again refused to comment on Punk's current status with the company.
"I can’t comment on that. I have nothing but positive things to say about the contributions CM Punk has made in AEW on screen and I certainly have a lot of positive things to say about the things he did in AEW to date, but I do understand why you’d ask and I appreciate you asking."
When asked if he knew ahead of time that Punk was g💮oing to go on a rant, Khan noted th☂at he had no clue about Punk's intentions.
"You were, I don’t wanna comment beyond this but you were sitting five feet and I did not know… No I did not know [that Punk was going to go on a rant], but I will not comment beyond that except to say I had Keith and Swerve coming up right after that and I had Toni Storm after that and I had important stuff to talk to them about."
Khan went on to say that he was eageꦛr t💯o talk to Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland about their AEW World Tag Team Title rematch with The Acclaimed at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 22.
