On Sunday, New Japan Wrestling held the Hi No Kuni event in Kumamoto, Japan which featured some of the promotion's biggest names and two championship matches. Los Ingobernables de Japon members Evil and Sanada defended their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship and then in the main event Tetsuya Naito defeated Minoru Suzuki to caไpture the IWGP Intercontinental Championship giving the stable three current champions among their ra🔯nks.
Los Ingobernables de Japon will soon be touring North America as part of the Ring of Honor War of the Worlds tour where the promotion w𒀰ill visit four cities in the United States and Canada.
Thi🍨s reign is the 2nd time Naito has captured the Intercontinental Championship. He lost the championship last June to Hiroshi Tanahashi after a 259 day reign.
