Young won his first title in ROH in a heated four-way battle to uncrown Kenny King. However, Silas Young took on ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁀⁀⁀⁀ᩚ⁀⁀⁀⁀ᩚ⁀⁀⁀⁀ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚa lot more than that earlier in life, when he overcame heroin addiction to be one of the most colorful characters in wrestling. He opened up to about his uphill fight.

There are certain situations in life that are charac🎀ter-building, and I feel like that was one of those moments in my life. Sometimes, the battles with yourself are the hardest battles, ꊐand that goes for a lot of people. Our own worst enemies are often ourselves, so it takes a lot of mental checking-in-with-yourself–almost giving yourself a daily mental pep talk–because our biggest opponent is our self.
