Rich Swann is no longer a part of WWE.
WWE this morning put out a statement on their saying "Rich Swann and WWE have mutually agreed to part ways as of today, February 15, 2018. WWE wishes Swann the best in all of his future endeavors."
Swann had not been wrestling for WWE since December 10 when he was arrested by Florida officials after getting into an altercation with his girlfriend, independent wrestler Su Yung, that allegedly turned violent. He was charged with battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment charges. WWE immediat🍨ely suspended him, and plans for him to challenge Enzo Amore for t💖he Cruiserweight championship were scrapped.
Charges were dropped on January 26 after prosecutors determined that the🥀re wa♍s insufficient evidence to continue with the case.
Swann had been a part of WWE since 2015, wrestling in developm꧅ental through 2016 when he became a part of the Cruiserweight Classic and later a part of WWE's Cruiserweight division. He won the championship on November 29, 2016 and held it until January 29, 2017 when he lost to Neville. For most of 2017, Swann remained part of the brand, somet𝓡imes challenging for the title and in fact had won a mini tournament to decide then champion Enzo Amore's challenger for the championship before his suspension.
