A﷽ccordi✅ng to , AEW and CM Punk are reportedly negotiating a contract buyout. The report notes that "the holdup right now is said to be the non-compete period." Punk signed a multi-year contract with AEW in August 2021.
Punk was suspended following AEW All Out where he got into an altercation with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) following🐬 his disparaging comments towards the trio at his post-show press conference.
Omega and the Bucks were also suspended for their roles while Ace Steel, who reportedly bit Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson, was reportedly released.
Punk won the AEW World Championship at AEW All Out, but was injured in the matcℱh and it is unknown w𓃲hen he would have returned from the injury.
