Orange Cassidy has been with AEW since it launched in 2019 and has become one of its top homegrown talents after making a name forź§ himself on the independent scene.
At AEW Full Gear, Cassidy will chaą¶£llenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title, looking to dethrone the maš n who has waged war against AEW in recent months.
Moxley has tried to change AEW to his vision after, in his mind, the company lost its way. Cassidy has been through the ups and dowź¦ns of the promotion, and acknowledges the changing process.
āItās tough for AEW because of how fast the company grew and for how successful it has been in just under, weāre talking five years. Weāre growing and weāre changing, and weāre going through that weird middle school age of figuring out who you are and do you want your hair short or long. Itās important that AEW just takes the natural evolution, and we donāt try to force anything. Tony Kahn has an incredible eye for talent, and heās an incredibly generous person that understands professional wrestling. And no matter what changes we go through; I feel very secure in the fact that I know that Tony Khan will make sure that the best are wrestling for AEW," Cassidy told
Cassidy defeated Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2023 to retain the AEW International Chamāpionship.
