Moxley has tried to change AEW to his vision after, in his mind, the company lost its way. Cassidy has been through the ups and dowź¦šns of the promotion, and acknowledges the changing process.

ā€œItā€™s tough for AEW because of how fast the company grew and for how successful it has been in just under, weā€™re talking five years. Weā€™re growing and weā€™re changing, and weā€™re going through that weird middle school age of figuring out who you are and do you want your hair short or long. Itā€™s important that AEW just takes the natural evolution, and we donā€™t try to force anything. And no matter what changes we go through; I feel very secure in the fact that I know that Tony Khan will make sure that the best are wrestling for AEW," Cassidy told

Cassidy defeated Moxley at AEW Full Gear 2023 to retain the AEW International Chamā™pionship.
