Nikki Cross' 💫lifelong dream was to become a WWE wrestler and said her dream began all theꦏ way back in the Attitude Era.
Cross spoke with t𒈔o talk about her upbringing and talked about the first WWE show she ever watched, and how that shoꦇw inspired Cross to take up wrestling when she turned 18.
"I was about 10 and shared a room with my sister and she put on WWE Fully Loaded in 2000," Cross said. "I think the first match on the card was The Hardy Boys and Lita vs. Trish Stratus, Test and Albert in an intergender match. After like three minutes, I was entranced. I just loved it, it was so much fun. There was a steel cage match and it had Chris Jericho vs. Triple H in a Last Man Standing match. They had Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle and The Rock defending his championship. was just entranced by all of it. We didn't have Sky, but we had terrestrial TV and for that time, they would show WWE events and I would stay up throughout my teenage years and I would watch that. When I was 18, I decided to go and attend a wrestling school. I Googled Scottish wrestling academies and there was one near me, the Scottish Wrestling Alliance."
Even though Cross had a lot of experience working all over the world, including the United Kingdom and Japan, she said he ultimate goal was to end up in WWE. Cross said thಌat she first wanted to gain experience wrestling all over the world, like other WWE wrestlers such as Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan had done so, before coming to WWE.
"My goal was always to be in WWE," Cross said. "That was my dream, that's where I wanted to be when I first started, my first thought was to see if I was any good at it, feel it and see if this is something I wanted to do. From that very first training session, something just clicked in my brain. This is what I'm meant to do. When I was in the independent scene, my goal was to be the best I could be, the most versatile as I can be. I wanted to fill any role that was required."
Cross is ಞnow a part of the Sanity stable, where they compete regularly on the WWE Netw🗹ork-exclusive show NXT.
