Low Ki says the deposit was always his to keep.
On April 5th, Low Ki was advertised for a match with Matt Riddle at a Game Changer Wrestling event called Matt Riddle's Bloodsport. In the days before the event, Low Ki announced an injury and was subsequently replaced by Minoru Suzuki in the match against Riddle. This week, Game Changer Wrestling booker Brett Lauderdale said Low 𒆙Ki had not returned the deposit paid to him in advan🤪ce.
In a video uploaded to his own channel, Low-Ki claims he has every💟 right to keep the deposit.
"Brett Lauderdale has claimed a financial deposit is owed to Game Charger Wrestling...The agreed upon terms governed the date and the advertisement rights," said Low Ki
In the re✱st of the video, Low-Ki emphasizes that his deposits are usually for the purposes of securing him for a date and allowing the promoter to advertise him for an event. Low Ki says this entitles him to the deposit even without wrestling on the Bloodsport event. He said he left a voice mail for Lauderdale asking for Riddle's number to call him as a "professional curtesy."
According to Low-Ki, Riddle was not comfortable with wrestl☂ing him with an injury but Low-Ki still showed up in Louisiana only to find out Game Changer Wrestling did not have a hotel room for him. He believes his "professional obligation" was fulfilled when he arrived in Louisiana

In a tweet thread, Lauderdale explains his side of the story which includes✅ saying noꦦ agreement about the deposit was discussed between GCW and Low-Ki. He also said the wrestler expected GCW to help pay medical expenses for the injury since it occurred in what Low-Ki called "training camp." The thread can be seen attached to the tweet below.
In the thread, Lauderdale said Low Ki asked to still appear on the show but as part of an angle where he would introduce MVP to take his place. Lauderdale also said Low Ki was not communicating well about the severity of the injury or if he was going to come to the evꦆent or not. He said he believes Low Ki showed up to the hotel so he could ar🥂gue to keep the deposit and possibly get paid in full.
