Kenny Omega does not know where Bu﷽llet Club is headed after Strong Style Evolved.
On Sunday in Long Beach, California, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi (collecti♔vely known as the Golden Lovers) had a long and grueling match against Omega's friends and fellow Bullet Club members the Young Bucks. In a press conference following the match, Omega said he struggled getting ready for the match.
"I tried to visualize (the match) over and over again. How do you fight your friends? How do you fight your brothers? Especially when there's this misunderstanding that you don't care about them," said Omega. "At the end of the day, this was a match for our fans. I did not want to disrespect the Young Bucks by giving anything less than 100 percent effort," he continued.
Omega went on to say how bad of shape his𝓡 body and emotions were following the match and he felt like nothing was resolved between he and the Young Bucks. He said he is unsure which direction he or Bullet Club will be goi𝓰ng.
"I wanted to work things out and if you can't work things out with your best friends, somebody you've known for a decade...maybe Cody (Rhodes) is right. Maybe I'm not suited to be leader, I don't know," said Omega.
In the interview, Omega mentioned he was having trouble seeing because of swelling around his eye but he said it will not stop him from facing Cody Rhodes at Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor XII.
Fightful Wrestling had live coverage of Strong Style Evolved and a afterwards. The same coverage will be ꦰavailable for Omega and Rhodes' match at Supercard of Honor XII.
