Kenny Omega successfully defended the IWGP United States title this past Sunday. So why didn't he have the physical title with him at Global Wars: Chicago?
Well, Dave Meltzer explained on yesterday's 💟edition of . It was relatively simple -- it was all just🐟 a big misunderstanding.
"There was a mix-up" Meltzer explained. New Japan had the belt and he thought he had the belt. It was a comedy of errors and nobody brought the belt to the building. That was the real reason."
Kenny🙈 Omega, sans belt, successfully defended the championship against YOSHI-HASHI on Sunday at ROH Global Wars. It was a competitive match, but constant interference from the Bullet Club allowed Omega to get the upper hand, pinning YOSHI-HASHI after a One Winged Angel.
After the match, they decided to do a end of the tour selfie. Realizing that no one had their phone on them, or a phone with a camera on it, the Bullet Club looked for someone in the🐻 crowd to take their picture for them. No🌟ne other than Jimmy Jacobs accepted the task, taking a selfie with the group.
This is Kenny Omega's second defense of the title, as he also successfully defended the title late last month at Destruction in Kobe.
