We can't see him right now, but John Cena is hopeful he will return to WWE soon.
John Cena was the top guy in WWE for over a decade, however, these days he is fully committed to his opportunities beyond the squared circle. John has not been in a ring since last summer when he lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and was subsequently beat up by Brock Lesnar. However, this year markšs a special one for John as he will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his main roster WWE debut.
Because of the anniversary, and the fact that he feels like he's going away from the WWE Universš½e for too lź¦æong, John Cena is hopeful he will be back in the ring very soon.
"Oh, soon," John replied when asked by when he'll be back in WWE. "I know in WWE, I turn 20 pretty soon so that's a pretty big thing. From a pretty storied class of folks Batista, Randy Orton, Brock, we kind of all turn 20 this year, so I'm aware that that's coming around the corner, and who knows, but it's one of those hard truths to bear. There's a lot of cool stuff going on, and I don't want to say no to any opportunities that are on my doorstep. So I don't know when I'll be back. But hopefully, it's soon. I've been gone for too long."
John Cena also spoke about his transition from WWE to Hollywood and says the only way toā have a successful transitią¹on is to accept and not be afraid of failure.
"Just be okay with failing. This 'transition' has taken 15 years now. So from 'The Marine' until now and there's a lot of failure in there you guys have watched. Don't be afraid to fail, and it's okay to have a great support system around you, and certainly the WWE audience, I've said on multiple occasions and I'll keep saying it, they made me into the man I am today," John said.
John Cena has been one of the first to congratulate both Batista and Randy Orton on their 20-year anniversary. You can see what he had to say about Batista here and Randy Orton here.
