Someone wearing Swerve Strickland's coat appeared backstage on the November 20 episode of AEW༒ Dynamite. Shelton Benjamin grabbed him and held up him against the wall. Benjamin quickly realized that this was not Strickland.
MVP then hit the ♏Strickland dec🦂oy with his cane, and Shelton Benjamin kneed him in the midsection.
Shayn Smith then took to Twitter/X and responded to a clip of the segment and💧 noted that he was the one wearing the coat.

AEW Dynamite was held in Readin꧙g, Pennsylvania on November 20, and Smith is local to the area. He has competed for H20, 1CW, and NYWC, among other promotions, in recent months. He also wrestled on the November 2 episode of AEW Collision. Smith and Joe Keys lost to Brian Cage and Lance Archer of the Don Callis Family.
