The Leyenda Azul Finals are set.
On Friday, November 22, 2024, CMLL hosted a special edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from the mythical and historic Arena Mexico, headlined by the first-round eliminator match of the 2024 Leyenda Azul, a tournament done to pay homage to the legendary wrestler ౠBlue Demon.
The eܫliminator featured ten of CMLL's top light heavyweights and heavyweights going at it for two spots in the finals next week. The field consisted of Místico, Hechicero, Star Black, Ángel de Oro, Averno, 🌳Blue Panther, Esfinge, Gran Guerrero, Soberano Jr. & Euforia.
After a dynamic and hard-hitting affair, the victors of said elimi𒉰nator ended up being Místico & Hechicero, who will face each other on the 11/29 edition of CMLL Viernes Espectacular in a first-time-ever televised bout for CMLL's main cards (they had a previous one-on-one encounter in Monterrey based promotion Alto Voltaje on 9/29/2024). This is not the only time they will be active, as Místico & Hechicero were announced to take part in the 11/29 edition of AEW Rampage (some of the matches from that show already taped on the AEW Dynamite Tapings on 11/21).
