Nigel McGuinness gives his status for AEW.
Nigel McGuinness will be at AEW All In, but he will not be wrestling. Nigel previously teased the idea of him wrestling at the show while doing media in months leading up to the event, and cited Bryan Danielson as a potenওtial opponent. The two have had some banter in interviews and media after AEW All in was announced, but Danielson suffered a broken arm at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door that will keꦬep him off AEW All In.
"No," Nigel told Tempest of Wrestletalk on behalf of Fightful. "You're not the first person to ask that. I will not be wrestling because clamdigger Bryan Danielson, or clamdigger Brittle Danielson, as some people are calling him nowadays, is not on the card, so there is not really any match for me. I do believe I'm far better off as a commentator anyway. I'm so excited for so many matches and to be in that environment where I was 31 years ago, it's very heartfelt for me to go back there."
McGuinness is one of the most decorated champions in ROH and his rivalry with Bryan Danielson in the mid to late 2000s helped further establish ROH as the premier indepe♐ndent wrestling promotion. He has not wrestled since 2011 due to medical complications.
