Matt Riddle isn't Goldberg's bro, ev🐷en after their Summerslam chat.
The outspoken Riddle has long expressed his issues with the former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg, all the way back to Riddle's Fightful Brocast days. Things came to a head when Riddle had based Goldberg in recent month꧒s, and the two met backstage at Summerslam.
M⭕att Riddle walked through the initial conversation on WWE's official Summerslam Watch Along
"I'm walking by, and I see his locker room. I'm trying to get a peek, and I'm looking, I'm looking. All of a sudden [hand smacks shoulder], big shoulder, 300 pounds at least. I look up; it's Bill Goldberg. He goes, 'we got some talking to do.' 'We can talk anytime.' 'Yeah?' 'Yeah. Alright, bro, we can talk anytime.' He's like, 'I'm not your bro.' I'm like, 'Alright bro, take it easy, whatever.' He's like, 'We'll see, I'll see you later. It was a pleasure meeting you.' 'The pleasure was all mine, bro.' Then he goes, 'I'm not your bro.' Then I walked away," said Riddle.
Apparently, the second conversation did happen.
One source close to the situation ꦅtold us that Matt Riddle and Goldberg did have a conversation that followed Summerslam, and that the two decided to "agree to disagree." Another source on the production end of things said that WWE knows what its doing with Riddle and ♔Goldberg, and the initial conversation was filmed "just in case," and that WWE didn't exactly put Riddle on the Watch Along by accident.
The same source in production said that they, and sev♌eral others were stunned at how much more Matt Riddle "got it" as pertains to building a potential ma🧜rquee match than Goldberg, who was said to have had a chip on his shoulder and taking things way too seriously.
