LA Knight talks his journey to WWE, potentially bšringing dummy back, and being the favorite to win the Money In Thź§ e Bank ladder match.
While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Knight fiš²rst commented on the fact that WWE wasn't returning his calls a decade and how he's on top of the world now.
"Weāre talking over ten years ago when they werenāt returning my calls. Thereās a whole bunch of stuff there, but eventually I was able to knock that door down, walk myself in, walk myself right back out after a year, went all over the world, did my own thing, came back and stronger than ever. Here we are, burning down the world. All around the world, itās the same song. How does that song go? [Mimes LA Knight theme intro]. Yeah!"
Knight went on to say that he doesn't remember who made the call to finally bring him into the company, but expressed that he's happy an overture šwas made to him.
"Hell, I donāt even remember. It was during the pandemic, so weāre talking three years ago. At some point it was like, āWhat are the odds I can get something together while this pandemic is happening?ā I donāt know, I have to figure that Iām on the back end of my career and I have to make whatever little money I can wherever. At some point, an overture was made, āHey, thereās an opportunity.ā Boom, letās do it, letās run."
The former Million Dollar Champion then went on to note that he'll bring back his 'Dummy' catchphrase if it ź§fits.
"There is nothing to change there. I brought this to England in 2016. Weāre good to go on that. If it fits, itāll come back. If it doesnāt, then weāll see."
Knight has long been considered to be a favorite in the Men's Money Inš„ The Bank match, even šdating back to 2022. The self proclaimed megastar went on to say that the smart money is on him at this point.
"Not way back when because then itās just conjecture, guessing, hoping, and whatever, good for you. Once it started getting a little bit closer, āOh, thereās a qualifying match, okay, cool.ā Then it started to seem like more of a thing. At this point, I would say the smart money is on this guy."
