Moose weighs in on a number of topics.
The IMPACT Grand Championship was introduced during the summer of 2016 and a tournament was held to crown the first-ever holder of said championship. The winner who emerged victorious from that tournament was Aron Rex. Just one week after making history Rex dropped the title to the self-dubbed "Mr. IMPACT Wrestling" Moose and Moose went on to hold that title on two separate occasions with his second reign making him the longest reigning IMPACT Grand Champion out of its eight holders.
The title was unified this summer by the World Champion of IMPACT ▨Austin🃏 Aries. Moose being the man who is s𒁃aid to have put the title on the map feels that he was indeed the guy to make the Grand Championship what it was and he explained why he was the guy to do it .
“Oh yeah, I’m the guy who made that title what it is. I’m the longest reigning Grand Champion and I’m the second-ever Grand Champion in IMPACT Wrestling history so, without… I feel like without myself that title wouldn’t be anything.” He continued, “I wrestled all kinds of guys: Marufuji, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, EC3. I defended that title against some names and defended it well so, I mean it is what it is--he merged it together and now its one and the company still moves on. It is what it is."
The summers of 2016 and 2017 was one that saꦇw Moose weigh his options as a free agent and he reportedly received offers from a few companies to come and be under contract with them. After some contemplating Moose sent out a detailed statement on Twitter explaining why he was going to stay with IMPACT and during this interview he simply stated that the decision was all about choosing the right company that he felt was going to help 🦂him improve.
“It was definitely… it was just one of those things… with all the companies out there which company do I see me growing the fastest and the smartest and I felt like IMPACT was the best decision for me at that time." Moose said.
