Atlanℱtis Jr. discusses wrestling in the United States.
In recent years, the CMLL star has branched out from Mexico and has started to wrestle in🃏 the United States, competing for promotions like ROH/AEW and MLW. Atlantis Jr. even traveled to Japan in February to compete on CMLL and NJPW's Fantastica Mania shows. Atlantis' efforts paid off back in June, as he was able to capture the ROH World TV 🎐Championship from Kyle Fletcher.
While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Atlaღntis Jr. talked about wanting to learn🐟 styles from all around the world.
"It’s amazing. I want to grow around the world. Nowadays, I do my work in Mexico, but I want to have more work around the world. London, Japan, United States. I want to learn more styles. You have the Mexican style, Japanese styles, American style, and it’s very different. Mexican style is faster. Japanese is more strong style. American is a mix. To have that experience, I’m very grateful. To have matches with people from MLW, AEW, New Japan, every day I learn about that big superstar."
Atlantis Jr. continued on and compared his current path to Ultimo Guerrero and Mistico, stars that have traveled all around the world foಌr years.
"I prefer all. To learn every day and to grow every day. If I only use Mexican style, it’s very comfortable. I don’t want to be in a little circle. I want to be in a big circle to learn and grow. If I go to Japan, I know the Japanese style, so let’s do that style. If you come to Mexico, the mentality is you need to work like a Mexican wrestler. I’ve grown a lot and taking opportunities with AEW, MLW, and New Japan. In CMLL, we have great wrestlers like Ultimo Guerrero or Mistico that have experience around the world. I’m very happy with my career at CMLL."
