This should add fuel to the fire for those šwho haven'št been fans of Asuka's first week in.
Edge ą± and Christian were talking about the latest call up to the WWEā roster on . Edge says that while she's good, he doesn't get what the big deal is.
āIām sure Iāll get lambasted for this, but I donāt get the Asuka thing." he said. "I really donāt. Sheās fine and sheās solid but I donāt know. Iāve never really understood the hype..more than that what I didnāt get was using an ankle lock on a night when Kurt Angle is stepping back in a WWE ring for the first time in eleven years and itās actually being used in the main event as something pretty pivotal. Why do you do it as a spot that goes nowhere?ā
Christian agreed, though he admits he's never seen a full match. He praised her in other areas, howāever.
āIāve seen clips and Iāve never seen a full, full match" ChrisitanĀ said.Ā "So, maybe I have maybe Iāve seen one or two but I think that when thereās a lot of hype and that sort of thing it makes it almost harder sometimes for the talent to kinda live up to the packages and to the hype and theyāre expecting something completely different than something theyāve seen before. And thatās really hard to do. I liked her persona, she seemed really comfortable with what sheās doing but yeah there were some certain things and there werenāt necessarily super crisp and anything like that and that and it could be the first time, it couldāve been the first time sheās worked with Emma or whateverāĀ
It wasn't the first time Emma faced Asuka, but it was Asuka's first match on the Raw roster. While she won the match this past Sunday atĀ WWE TLC, some feel that the match went too long, and on tošp of that AsukaĀ rarely sold for anyone on the NXT brand, yet a lot of the match was Emma working her over.
