Today in court, Dr. Chris Amann took the stand and was asked questions by his own counsel and the representatives to CM Punk and Colt Cabana. According to Nick Hausman of , the questions surrounded the antibiotics CM Punk claimed he was prescribed frequently. Dr. Amann claimed he only prescribed CM Punk antibiotics between 2012 and 2014 once for a sinus 🐟💜infection.
The jury were read emails and text messages regarding the care Dr. Amann was providing to CM Punk. Only one of the messages me🃏ntioned antibiotics in 2013 but Amann denied that was when he prescribe𝄹d them.
Amann testified about what he believes was a concussion CM Punk sustained in the 2014 Royal Rumble and CM Punk's refusal to leave the match. Some of the texts and emails also mentioned CM ꦏPunk complaining about a headache and other injuries before the Royal Rumble.
The Jury was also presented with photos from the Royal Rumbl🥂e wꦑhere no cyst was visible and Amann said he did not see a cyst on CM Punk.
The defamation lawsuit seems to be rooted in the embarrassment Amann felt after CM Punk accused him of ignoring a cyst which ended up being a staph infections. Amann said his job was not affected but fans bothered him💦 on twitter and with signs on television.
