Dolph Ziggler Says He Saw The Intensity In Drew McIntyre Just From Watching Clips Of Him In NXT, Talks Waking Up The Roster, More

Drew & Dolph against the world.

One week after WrestleMania 34 Dolph Ziggler transitioned to Monday Night RAW as a part of the 2018 WWE 'Superstar Shake-Up'. Ziggler did not emerge onto the red-brand alone as the six-foot-five "Celtic Colossus" Drew McIntyre helped Ziggler beat down Apollo Crews and Titus O'Neil who were unknowing that the former NXT Champion was appearing on RAW.

Thus far on RAW tღhe duo of McIntyre and Ziggler have made quick work of their opponents ending their matches with a innovative "Zig-Zag"/ "Claymore Kick" combination💜. caught up with Dolph Ziggler to grab his overall thoughts on Drew McIntyre and Ziggler stated that he saw the intensity that Drew had just from watching a few clips of him during his run in NXT.

“[In NXT], you can see someone who’s good at wrestling, or you can see someone who’s gonna be a star and go, ‘Yeah, they’re going to be all right,’” said Ziggler. “And then you can see someone who goes, ‘I am gonna kick everybody’s a-- until they realize they need me on this show, and I saw that from the very few clips I saw down in NXT.”

Standing alongside McIntyre in the ring during McIntyre's first post-match promo back on the main roster, Ziggler felt the words that Drew stated 𒐪which were that people in the locker room have become complacent which in-turn has made everyone soft. Ziggler backed up what McIntyre stated as Ziggler expressed that those who have become complacent with t💦heir position in the company are slapping those who feel overlooked right in the face.

“[Drew] has made a couple of lines very clear,” Ziggler said. “Some people get complacent here; some people get soft. They know they’re collecting a check, they know they’re not one of the guys who got let go a couple of years ago, whether they should be or not. That’s a slap in the face to a lot of us who are fighting for time on the show and think we’ve been overlooked or think we should be doing something much more important. You forget, or you take it for granted that you’re in the greatest wrestling/sports-entertainment company in the entire world. Sometimes, someone needs to pinch you or slap you and let you know the deal. Even when we’re next to each other on RAW, you can see the look in his eyes that he’s just waiting to beat the hell out of somebody, and that is so refreshing for me,” said Ziggler. “He’s someone who doesn’t take [his job] for granted because he did have to go away. If you think you don’t come back [from that] with a chip on your shoulder, you’re crazy.”

Drew McIntyre also spoke on the lack of competitiveness backstage in the company, along with more. To read the full interview with the two former WWE Intercontinental Champions,.
