Chris Jericho Becomes The Inaugural AEW World Champion

Chris Jericho added another accolade to his Hall Of Fame career when he defeated Adam Page to become the first-ever All Elite Wrestling Champion. In what was a bloody bout, Chris finally was able to put the younger Superstar away with the Ju🌳das Effect elbow.

The match made♏ history in another way as Aubrey Edwards became the first-ever female official to referee a World Heavyweight Championship match on pay-per-view.

This marks Chris Jericho's 7th World Championship Victory as he held the WWE Undisputed Championship once, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship three times, and a version of the WCW Championship twice in WWE before winning the All Elite Wrestling World Heavyweig🌠ht Championship tonight.

Chris Jericho can now turn his attention to the next pay-per-view, Full Gear, which was announced tonight and will take place on November 9th from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. TNT Television starts for AEW on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
