Cain Velasquez Denied Bail Again, Attorney Brings Up Possibility Of CTE From Combat Sports Career

After attending another court session on Monday, May 16th, Cain Velasquez has been denied bail yet again.

Back in March, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez was arrested on attempted murder charges. Only a few days after, he was denied bail for the firsꦐt time aft💃er Judge Shelyna Brown of the Santa Clara County Court ruled him as a potential threat to his surroundings and community.

After today's hearing, Velasquez was denied bail yet again. , Velasquez's attorneys noted that the former WWE superstar was willing to post $1 million bail, partake in electronic mon♛itoring, and/or have a su🔥pervisor with him at all times.

Velasquez's attorne🐓ys also allege that the attack c𝓡ould have been fueled by a Traumatic Brain Injury and/or CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy).

During the hearing, Paul Bender, who was one of the victims in the alleged shoo🎐ting, claimed that he suffered nerve damage from the shooting that rendered him unable to work. Bender al🍌so made it very clear that he would be fearful for his and his family's lives if Velasquez was to be released.

Following the hearing, Judge Brown denied Velasquez's request for bail. Cain is now slated to remain in jail until at least June 10. He is currently facing ten charges, some of which include 1st degree attempted murder and multiple counts of assault with a deadly weapon. You can see a full list of charges by clicking here.
