Last week was the first edition of the Friday Fightful Podcast with new co-host Shane Helms, the WCW, WWE and TNA veteran, who now works more in an agent and manager capacity on Thursday night TNA Impact. Host Sean Ross 🍬Sapp asked him abou🎐t his opinions on the recent legal troubles with Billy Corgan, Dixie Carter and TNA management.
"I wish that relationship was still there, and never soured," said Helms. "I like Billy Corgan a lot. I like all parties involved, and no party had ever did anything bad with me, so I kinda hate that that situation went the way it did, but now that it's all done and now that we're aiming in a certain direction, that's the way we gotta go."
Sapp also mentioned that everyone he's talked to has said that Corgan made a good impression on the people at TNA. Helms said it was no different with him, and even volunteered that his own personal relationship with Corgan extends backꦯ far before his time at TNA.
"I had met him before. I actually met him when I was in WCW, and I met him there, so I've known Billy for quite a long time and had a good relationship with him," Helms said. "Loved his passion, loved his creativity. Like anybody in a creative situation, not all ideas are gonna be home runs, but y'know, they never are for anybody. But I liked a lot of stuff that he came up with, and I like him as a person, he's still my friend and that's not gonna change."
Helms will be appearing on Impact's Hardy-Themed 🐈episode next Thursdaꦬy entitled Total Nonstop Deletion.
Helms also discussed Lita leaving WWE, his UFC predictions, the situation with Cybor👍g and much more.
