It was announced in the video above that WWE Cruis🍎erweight fan favorite Jack Gallagher will be facing WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne in a title match at the Progress Wrestling ev෴ent in New York City on August 12.
As Galllagher says in the video, he and Dunne have an extensive history, not the least of which includes the fact that Gallagher defeated Dunne in a qualification match for last year's Cruiserweight Classic tournament, which led to "Gentleman Jack" being signed as part of WWE's rebooted Cruiserweight Diඣvision.
Dunne, meanwhile, was the standout personality in January's WWE UK Championship Tournament where he lost in the final match to Tyler Bate. He was able to capture the title in a match at NXT Takeover Chicago back in🧸 May.
