Former UFC Light Heavyweight🍸 Champion Vitor Belfort faces Uriah Hall in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night St. Louis.
ඣWhile the Brazilian has claimed that hꦓe was going to retire before, it could be coming to fruition on Sunday Night.
“This is my retirement fight, so after this, I’ll put my body to rest,” Belfort said on . “Life is about seasons, and I think you’ve got to know the seasons. I think I did more than enough. Sometimes I flash back and say, ‘Wow, I’m still doing this. This is crazy.’ I’m very thankful, but I think my body needs to rest.”
Belfort had bounced back and forth on retirement before the bout with Nate Marquardt at UFC 212, but op💛ted to finish out his UFC contract and fight once more.
Even though the Brazilian is retiring on Sunday Nig✱ht, one thing that Belfort still feels is that he is relevant to the sport of MMA.
“I’m still relevant to the sport, but I need to walk away. That was my journey, I accomplished a lot of great things, and I want to do other great things. I’m going to the second journey of life, and I’m happy,” says Belfort.
