NAC Suspends Conor McGregor Six Months, Khabib Nurmagomedov Nine Months For Roles In UFC 229 Brawl

Punishment has b🃏een handed out to Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for their actions in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.

The Nevada Athletic Commission handed McGregor a six-month suspension and $50,000 fine for his role in the brawl. Nurmagomedov received a nine-month suspension and $500,🤡000 fine. Both suspensions are🌃 retroactive to Oct. 6, 2018. Nurmagomedov has the opportunity to get his suspension reduced to six months if he participates in an anti-bullying PSA campaign.

Khabib's teammates Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira ꧒Tukhugov were given one-year suspensions and fined $25,000. reports that heꦉ doesn't expect Khabib to fight until his teammates are no longer suspended, which means Khabib would not fight again until October 2019. Khabib will reportedly pay for his fine and the fines of his teammates.

The commission also warned McGregor for his pre-fight trash talk and stated that they will consider taking disciplinary action against him and 𒐪other fighters if they go the lengths McGregor did prior to ♏UFC 229.

✃Neither Khabib nor Conor were in attendance 🙈at today's hearing.

Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor by submission in the fourth round of their UFC 229 Lightweight Title fight. Following the bout, Khabib jumped the cage and went to attack McGregor's coach Dillon Danis. His actions🦩 led to a brawl between members of both teams.
