Domestic Violence Charges Against Jon Jones In Nevada Dismissed

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones struck a plea deal with prosecutors this week, re♏sulting in recent domestic violence cha🍰rges against him being dropped.

was the first to report the news. Jones p🦩led no contest to a misdemeanoཧr charge of destroying property. He was also sentenced to pay around $25 - $250 and is being ordered to stay out of trouble, pay restitution to the victim, and take anger management counseling. This comes from an incident in September where Jones was arrested at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino and allegedly slammed his head against the hood of a police car.

The main concern surrounding this whole situation is a༺ response to a call regarding a domestic disturbance involving Jones' fiancee hours after Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. His fiancee said Jones didn't hit her, but during the report, it was noticed she h𒐪ad dried blood on her lip. Jones would eventually go on social media and state that he would quit drinking and focus on his fight future.

This is not the first controversy surrounding Jones. Jones was involved in a felony hit-and-ru🎃n in 2015. He has also had several instances of driving under the influence, mo🧜st recently in 2020.

An NCAA All-American, Jones made his MMA debut in 2008. Joining the UFC that year, Jones has held the UFC Light Heavyweight Title twice. He has lost the belt and 🦩missed several fights as a result of failed drug tests. He vacated the title in August 2020 and is focusing on fighting in the heavyweight division. There is no update on when he will exactly return to the octagon.
