UFC Fight Night Highlights: Blaydes vs. Aspinall

A disappointing event, got even worse in the main event which only lasted 15 seconds𝓀, after a Tom Aspinall knee injury. The rest of the card🔯 didn't have much of note, outside of exciting wins by the tag team duo of Molly McCann and Paddy Pimblett. Check out their highlights and the rest of the card, after the jump.

Curtis Blaydes def. Tom Aspinall via TKO (Knee Injury) (Rd. 1 0:15)

Shavkat Rakhmonov: Ian Garry Was The Only Top UFC Welterweight Who Backed Up His Words

In a massive disappointment, just 15 seconds into the first round, Tom Aspinall's knee went out and the fight came to an end. Not much else to say, the fight never got started, and now we'll likely be without Aspinall for months if not a year. Gotta feel for Blaydes as well as Aspinall in this sꦚcenario. Huge bummer.

Jack Hermansson def. Chris Curtis via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)

In 🌌a fairly dull bout, Jack Hermansson stayed at range, and managed to out point Chris Curtis. Curtis was unable to cut off the cage, or get to the inside, and it was a fairly routine victory for the Norwegian.

Paddy Pimblett def. Jordan Leavitt via Submission (Read-Naked Choke) (Rd. 2 2:46)

The Paddy Pimblett ✤show rolls on, as he secured a submission victory over Jordan Leavitt. Leavitt controlled most of the grappling during round one, but the second round was a different story as Pimblett got Leavitt's arm trapped which led to him being able to easily secure the choke. Post-fight, Pimblett gave an emotional speech to a friend who had recently committed suicide, that was very emotional. Oh yah, and he also teabagged his opponent after the victory like he promised. The whole Paddy Pimblett experience remains very entertaining.

Nikita Krylov def. Alexander Gustafsson via KO (Rd 1 1:07)

In a pretty sad fight, Nikita Krylov like👍ly ended the career of Alexander Gustafsson. Krylov dropped Gustafsson with the first strike of the fight, and it was fairly academic after that. A very poor p♛erformance by Gustafsson, he looked about as shot as any fighter you'll ever see.

Molly McCann def. Hannah Golby via TKO (Punches) (Rd 1 3:52)

Thank you Molly McCann. On a card that was shaping up to be one of the dullest I can recall, the Liverpool native got the crowd on their feet with🌟 an electric striking performance vs. Hannah Goldy. McCann is so much fun, and just an electric presence when she fights in the U♚K. Bravo.

Volkan Oezdemir def. Paul Craig via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

In a typical Paul Craig fight, he spent almost the entire fight pulling guard and hunting submissions𝔉 against Volkan Oezdemir. He never got the submission, and as a result, he had bascially no chance to win without it. Card really is crying out for some excitement.

L'udovit Klein def. Mason Jones via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Filling in on short notice, L'udovit Klein put forward an excellent performance to get the wide decision victory over Mason Jones. Klein score🌠d knockdowns in both the first two rounds, including a sweet jumping front kick to Jones' face. Good performance by the Slovakian.

Marc Diakese def. Damir Hadzovic via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27)

In a tremendously boring fight, Marc Diakese completely dominated Damir Hadzovic and spent nearly൲ the entire fight in top position. Diakese never looked in doubt of winning this fight, but also took zero chances to put that at risk. This undercard has been pretty dull.

Nathaniel Wood def. Charles Rosa via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27)

In a very good𝕴 performance, Nathaniel Wood took Charles Rosa to school and dominated him in the striking phases of the fight. 🍸 Wood's boxing was on point, rarely missing any of his punches, and his leg kicks were also completely devastating to Rosa, and forced him to switch stances. Great performance by the Londoner.

Jonathan Pearce def. Makwan Amirkhani via TKO (Ground and Pound) (Rd. 2 4:10)

After a competitive grappling battle in the first round, Jonathan Pearce came out strong in the sec🐷ond round, and put Makwan Amirkhani on his back, and got the finish with heavy ground and pound.

Muhammed Mokaev def. Charles Johnson via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

In a dominant performance Muhammed Mokeav showed that he's a top rising prospect in the flyweight division. Mokaev showed good striking early on, and then used his r🍷elentless grappling to constantly pressure UFC debutant Charles Johnson. While Johnson showed excellent defensive acumen, and could have a UFC career ahead of him, but Mokaev is a blue chip prospect who will be a ✱blast to see rise through the flyweight division.

Jai Herbert def. Kyle Nelson via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

After trading the first two rounds, Jai Herbe𝓀rt came out iꦕn the third round vs. Kyle Nelson and secured the takedown and ground out the victory. Good bounceback win for the Brit.

Victoria Leonardo def. Mandy Böehm via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

In a very boring clinch heavy fight, Victoria Leonardo got the dec꧟ision over Mandy Böehm. Fight sucked.

Nicolas Dalby def. Claudio Silva via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

In the curtain jerker of the night, Nicolas Dalby dominated Claudio Silva over 15 minutes, surv🐈iving Silva's threatening grappling game, and looking strong in the striking elements. Good win for Dalby as he now moves to 3-1-1 in his second
