In Matt Riddle's , he'd often specify that he's in no hu🐻rry to get to WWE
During an interview with Jim Ross on t, the former WWN Champion seemed to indicate that things have𓆉n't changed much since his days at Fightf🌌ul, saying that a New Japan run may be in the cards first.
“Right now I really enjoy what I’m doing. I work for a different promotion every weekend. I work three to four times a week, I make my own schedule. I would like to get over to New Japan, possibly WWE or NXT down the road. Right now I’m killing it on the indies, I’m building a reputation, I’m building more and more and more fans. I’m in control of all of my merch and everything else. Things are good,” said Riddle.
Riddle was rumored to be joining his PWG partner in Jeff Cobb over in New Japan Pro Wrestling for this year's World Tag League tournament, but the deal fell through. Based on what happened between in recent weeks, giving Riddle a shot may have been in NJPW's best interests after all.
