Jon Jones is experiencing a new career low after yet another drug scandal looks him square in the eye.
Jones failed an in-competition drug test for turinabol, an oral st﷽♚eroid, ahead of UFC 214. According to a teammate, it all isn't adding up properly for him.
Frank Lester, who helps head up amateurs at Jackson- Wink Academy s🌊peculated that this steroid test failure was a⭕ setup. The coach posted in regards to the drug
"I was just at dinner sitting next to Jon Jones when he got the phone call about this failed drug test. Supposedly the story is between w🦋eigh ins and fight night he took a oral steroid. Which makes zero sense since it wouldn't do anything at all for Jon to do so. It takes weeks for steroids to build up in your system to be a performance enhancer. Jon was devastated to say the least. This is a set up, straight up, no athlete would test clean his entire fight camp, and then randomly take some cheap fucking oral steroid betweens weigh ins and fight night knowing he would be tested once he got done fighting. This is a straight set up. They are trying to ruin this kids life. It makes no sense and Jon wouldn't do it. Let'ꦛs see what happens with all of this but I truly believe Jon is innocent & I hope that all of you will give him a fair chance before you send hateful judgements his way."
USADA and the California State Athletic Commission oversaw drug testing and the event respectively, and say they'll𓄧 take any appropriate actions necessary af🗹ter a review of the situation.
There are conflicting reports as to what UFC's plans are for the championship, but as of now, Jones hasn't been formally stripped of the UFC Light Heavyweight title he won from Daniel Cormier at UFC 214.
