Jinder Mahal: Being Released by WWE "Was Probably The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me"

The road to the WWE Championship for Jinder Mahal w﷽as a long and arduous one, where at on🎐e point Mahal experienced what he thought the lowest point of his career.

In an interview with , Mahal said he had to stay str♕ong when he was released by WWE in 2014 as a part of big WWE talent release.

“Looking back at it, it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me because I got to go away and reinvent myself and rediscover myself, get my confidence back, get my focus back most importantly," Mahal said. "You need those lows to enjoy the highs and the wrestling business is like that. Sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down, but you've just got to stay persistent and better days always come. There was no promise, there was no guarantee of it. I think maybe they give that talk to everybody because really the door always is open in WWE. Never say never.”

Mahal would then return to the company last year as a part of Monday Night RAW. He would then later be switched over to SmackDown Live as part of the Superstar Shake-Up. After becoming the number one contender to the title, Mahal would then defeat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship in the main event of the Backlash pay-per-view for his first WWE Championship.
