Jimmy Jacobs Goes Over His Decision To Join Impact Wrestling Despite Having Offers From Other Companies On The Table, And More

💛The man who traded in his wrestling gear for a suit, has traded his suit back in for his wrestling gear.

Former WWE creative writer Jimmy Jacobs,àŒ’ has been making quite the splash on the independent wrestling scene since being fired from the WWE for an Instagram selfie he took with the Bullet Club, during their "invasion" outside of the arena where RAW was taking place. Jacobs has since appeared in promotions like WrestleCircus and AIW, but is now primarily featured in Impact Wrestling.

𒁃While speaking on a conference call with Impact, Jacobs opened up about his work with Impact.

ℱJacobs, who is a former five-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, would state that he is on a "handshake deal" with Impact Wrestling at the moment; which basically allows him to venture off into other opportunities, while still committing to working with Impact.

"I’m on a handshake deal with Impact, which was another part of the reason I came in." Jacobs would add. "I felt so restricted for two and a half years [in WWE] and so coming in now with the freedom to grow where I want to and do what I am best suited for.....I feel like that wasn’t an opportunity I had at the last company I worked for."

àč„Jimmy Jacobs's "Zombie Princess" personality may not be one that is necessarily considered "tough", but he does not look at it in that manner as he is only concerned with the work he puts in inside of the ring and that will allow his character to speak for itself.

"The Zombie Princess originated in a promo I did years ago. I wrestled Kevin Owens and he made fun of the way I looked. I said something like: 'I don’t need to look tough, I don’t need to dress tough, I don’t need to talk tough, what I’ve done shows I’m tough. I can put on a Tutu and a Tiara and call myself the Zombie Princess and still be the toughest guy in the room'." He said, “So much of the character is an expression of me as a human being. It’s cool and I have people reach out to me and say: 'Because of you, I have been able to come to terms of who I am'. A lot of the character is about embracing whoever the hell you are and loving and embracing it and making no apologies for it.”

🔜Jimmy Jacobs would also discuss the differences between being in Impact and being in the WWE; along with how being on the independent wrestling scene has opened his eyes.
