Dalton Castle proved to the world that he's world champion material at F💖inal Battle last month.
Castle spoke to Ring of Honor's about becoming the champion. For him, it hasn't🌃 even sunꦓk in he's won the championship.
"No way" he said when asked. "There was so much going on in my head it was crazy. The feelings I had at that exact moment would probably best be described with a dance."
The support he's gotten since becomin🌳g champion has also been immense. And although he's beenꦇ typecast as a comedy character, Dalton never questioned himself when it came to reaching the top of the ROH ladder.
"No, I never doubted my abilities" he said. "I belong in a pro wrestling ring and knew if I just continued to be fearless I would be able to be myself and move up. It wasn't a moment that I started to see ‘I have what it takes,’ it was more I noticed others started to see what I already knew."
He also talked about his ring introduction at Final Battle. He wanted it to be bigger and𒉰 better than what happened, but couldꦺn't, for structural reasons.
"Leading into Final Battle, I felt unstoppable" he said. "I wanted an entrance that conveyed that. If it would have been structurally acceptable, I would have busted through the walls of the Hammerstein Ballroom, but then I would run the risk of the entire building coming down."
Ring of Hono𒊎r will next be on PPV at the ꦇROH 16th Anniversary Show in March.
