𒁏Cody Rhodes joined The Bullet Clu🤪b to better himself.
Recently Rhodes was featured in by New Japan Pro Wrestling as the newest member of The Bullet Club. In the video he is simply called "Cod𒈔y". Hꦑis new moniker being "The American Nightmare." In by Jim Ross, he asked five questions of Rhodes. One question being about why he joined The Bullet Club.
"On a personal level, I saw what Kenny (Omega) did with the G1. He set a standard. To test myself like that, beyond, appealed to me. The Bullet Club runs pro wrestling," said Rhodes.
Rhodes joined The Bullet Club after a 2016 of debuting in independent wrestling promot꧙ions all over the world. Ross asked Rhodes about his process and motivation this year.
"The journey has been and continues to be really eye opening. We have earned over so many new fans, some former critics. With that in mind, I want to honor their purchase...I want them to know they bet on the right horse," said Rhodes.
When Rhodes ജmade the transition to independent wrestling he posted a list of wrestlers he wanted to face. He has completed the list but Ross asked him about more match-ups.
"I worry that I can't top the original (list) but I want to definitely compete against a lot of guys...off the top of my head, Pentagon Jr, " said Rhodes.
After the five ques🉐tions, Ross added his own thought on Rhodes new direction.
"Personally, I am so proud of the initiative and courage that Cody is displaying leaving a great job in WWE earning a six figure plus living to strike out on his own. I saw his WCPW bout in New Castle on ppv and it was outstanding. Cody's work is incredible at this point in his career. Also, happy that Cody will be wrestling at WK11 versus Juice Robinson. The NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11 lineup has been released and it looks to be an excellent card that will ignite the Tokyo Dome on January 4. It was a big thrill for me to be able to travel to Tokyo and broadcast a WK event. I hope that that opportunity comes around again some day," wrote Ross.
Rhodes faces another WWE alumni Juice Robinson, formerly known as CJ Parker in NXT, at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 11.
Ross' blogs and podcast are available at Wrestle K🐬ingdom 11 is Ja꧃nuary 7th and features with The Bullet Club's members.
